Intelligence and Security Sector – Practice Lead
My client, a management and information technology consulting company based in Arlington, Virginia, is seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to serve as Practice Lead for its Intelligence and Security Sector.
The Firm, which has been nationally recognized as one of the most admired small companies, provides enterprise architecture, systems development and integration, program management, and business transformation services for Federal, State and Local Government clients.
The selected candidate will lead the Business Development and Project/Client Delivery efforts for the Firm's Intelligence and Security Sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying and winning new contracts with current and new clients within the Intelligence and Security Sector - Building on his or her established network of contacts in the Intelligence and Security Sector to sustain and grow the Intelligence and Security ÔÔSector - Managing, mentoring and growing a multi-disciplinary staff of consultants - Overseeing the management of numerous contracts across the Sector - Establishing and growing lasting relationships with senior-level Government clients - Monitoring and analyzing monthly financial activities - Achieving annual revenue and profit goals for the Intelligence and Security Sector - Interviewing and approving staff hires - Developing annual Intelligence and Security strategic plans that align with the Firm’s Strategic Plans - Preparing for and reporting at management meetings
Requirements: A senior level individual to develop a robust Intelligence and Security Sector with an initial focus on the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The selected candidate will leverage existing contract vehicles such as NSETS II and DHS Eagle to win new business.
The selected individual will have a minimum of 20 years of hands-on experience serving Intelligence and Security Sector clients as a senior-level manager/consultant with a proven track record of growing business, marketing, and managing the delivery of contracts for successful information technology and management consulting firms.
The selected candidate must be capable of developing and managing an Intelligence and Security Sector with a minimum of $5 million in annual revenue within the first year
Must be a long-term player in the Government information technology consulting market
Must be a proven practice manager with hands on experience managing multiple projects
Must be a leader/mentor/motivator to his/her staff. Must have previous NSA experience Must have a book of contacts to bring to the table
