Job Description: Location: LangleyDirect placement with our client HIGH LEVEL CLEARANCE REQUIRED Jr 1yr+ / Md 3yr+ / Sr levels 5yrs+ Required skills: These positions will provide the opportunity for the candidates to exploit their skills in the area of Operations Engineering, with a focus in infrastructure and back-ups. Candidate will be afforded the opportunity to exploit given skills in the installation and setup of these configurations, along with assisting the Windows and Unix/Linux Systems Administrator with setup and integration of storage networking components associated with Unix and or Windows based hosts. Seeking a Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Engineer to provide storage and systems engineering expertise in support of a project that is responsible for several data centers. The project has full responsibility for architecting, designing and implementing new data center solutions as well as the operations and maintenance of these data centers as it pertains to TSM. Responsibility for the project includes SAN Engineering/Administration, Network Engineering, TCM backup support, and a working knowledge of Windows/Unix Server Adminstration. The primary duties of this position will be to provide hands on backup support. The Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Administrator will support the project and coordinate with the Systems Administartive team.Candidate will be responsible for the hands-on Windows/Unix Administration. Communicate with technical leads to design effective implementations that fit within vision of the overall system architecture while working to ensure any backups adhere to specified system design. Work closely with technical team to locate and resolve potential risks/problesm to system during design and implementation while communicating regularly with client/PM to establish system/architectuyral requirements. Provide technical consultation and direction, adhere to client/PM requirements. Process, create, update, refine and complete requirements for system eng efforts.
