Job Description: Oracle DeveloperLong term position US Citizenship Required Qualification Education Requirements: 5 years with Bachelor's 3 years with Master's 0 years with Ph.D Labor Description: Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs large complex application software for purchase or outside use by using high level programming languages (C++, SQL anywhere, Visual Basic, etc.). Ensures software standards are met. Oracle Developer: Database Architect to design, develop, and test in Oracle 10g databases. Be able to create and maintain large database interfaces to export and import sensitive but unclassified data. Create new relational database infrastructure to support user interfaces on a web-based application. Conduct performance tuning for existing functionality. Be responsible for writing and executing test procedures, test scenarios, and test cases. Be able to perform UML modeling and technical documentation using object-oriented techniques and tools. Follow detailed life-cycle processes, utilizing best practices for configuration control and development activities. The following are the basic qualifications for this position: Bachelor's degree in technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience including prior development experience in a CMM/CMMI level 3 and above environment. Experience with developing on a large Oracle 10g database is required. Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional. Experience with Unix (Solaris), Korn shell, SQL, PL/SQL, Subversion, and Jira. Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English is required along with the ability quickly learn new tools and technologies. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Experience in the following areas is an asset: Travel industry experience. Information Systems Design and Development. Proven track-record with commercial software projects an advantage. Exposure to Relational and Object-oriented database concepts also an advantage. Design experience with UML. Hands-on experience in medium to large scale systems development projects, and of integration and connectivity across a mix of technologies
