Database Administrator

Location: Washington, D.C., NW
Start Date: Immediate

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance Required

Experience
·Ô3 to 5 years Oracle 10g experience
·ÔInstalling and patching Oracle instances
·ÔThorough understanding of DB scripting (writing / modifying)
·ÔMastery of SQL/PL and Database Tuning
·ÔExperience with Backup and Recovery
·ÔSpace Management principles
·ÔAbility to create / modify user roles and privileges
·ÔWorking knowledge of data exports/imports
·ÔWorking knowledge of monitoring instances and database
·ÔControl of objects - Data Definition Language
·ÔDatabase Performance Monitoring
·ÔGood troubleshooter and problem-solver
·ÔMust be a team player.
·ÔÔAbility to alter work schedule to support operational outages and scheduled
ÔÔdowntimes

Education
·Four year degree from an accredited educational institution

Preferred:
·Experience with data pump, RAC, Grid Control, and Automated Storage Management (ASM)
Advance degree in a technical area
