Job Description: Seeking a AIX Systems Administrator for a temp-to-perm position in Clarksville, VA Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a TS clearance Job Description: The AIX Administrator will be directly supporting the following: • Perform standard AIX / UNIX Systems administration tasks such as: system building: From cd/dvd From tape (mksysb) From NIM ·ÔSystem patching, upgrading and migration via alternate disk method ·Ôsystem troubleshooting: hardware software ·Ônetwork troubleshooting: traceroutes tcpdumps ·ÔRequires HMC knowledge: Setup and configure LPAR's for use in dynamic environment Move / reallocate resources Firmware and software upgrading ·ÔVolume group creation and management ·ÔLogical volume creation and management ·ÔUserid creation and removal ·ÔAble to use TSM or Netback backup software for backup and recovery of system and data files ·ÔSecurity management Use of sudo and sudoers file to restrict/control superuser priviledges Best practices: (umask, user and group permissions, .profile, hosts.allow, hosts.deny, use of ssh, no telnet) basic korn shell scripting and debugging Qualifications: ·Ô5+ years of aix system administration experience for senior level ·Ô3+ years of aix system administration experience for junior level ·ÔDisaster Recovery experience a plus ·ÔVIO Server knowledge and HACMP configuration/management a plus ·ÔPrevious experience in a ticketing incident based environment a plus
