Job Description: Configuration Analyst 3: Software Build Engineer/Application AdministratorLocation: Fairfax, VA Salaried position U.S. Citizenship required Position Description: Software Build Engineer/Application Administrator is part of a team that maintains, administers, and installs software changes. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and executing scripts and processes used to facilitate the software builds, configuration, and reporting processes for the application. Perform CM Audits and application administration activities associated with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and expanding our suite of tools used to manage the Program. Must be able to write UNIX scripts and troubleshoot UNIX based software applications. Knowledge of software lifecycle processes and configuration/change management is required. -Knowledge of Subversion/JIRA (on UNIX/Linux), writing Perl and ANT scripts and troubleshooting UNIX-based applications is a plus. -Off hours and weekend support is required to support deployment audits and builds. Qualification/Labor Requirements for CM/Software Build Engineer/Application Administrator: Education Requirements: 6 years with Bachelor's or equivalent without Bachelors degree, 4 years with Master's Labor Description: Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.
