Job Description: Job Title: Construction ManagerJob Description: Plan, direct, coordinate, or budget, usually through subordinate supervisory per sonnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structure s, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a cons truction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation. S chedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.Insp ect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, an d other regulations.Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administ rative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.Prepar e contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreem ents with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.Obtai n all necessary permits. Direct and supervise workers.Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.Select, contract, and oversee w orkers who complete specific pieces of the project, as required by the project. Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.Develop and implement quality control programs.Take actions to deal with the results of d elays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and constru ction problems. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that p roper procedures are being carried out. Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using c omputers. Experience Requirements: Experience in transportation construction or toll construction is required. Must have clean driving record. Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree is preferred
