Job Description: DBA-Database AdministratorReston, Herndon, VA Direct placement position Must be a U.S.citizen - high level ISSA required Responsible for coordinating with varous project teams to provide input during project design and development to ensure that produce quality products. The DBA may maintain the GUIs, thus SQL and Oracle may be useful. As a TeamPlay Administrator, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities: add/delete resources; ensure all timesheets are completed weekly; weekly run actuals; run reports for Managers; Using the Reposrt Wizard, create new reports for the Managers and Project Managers; Update rates; document new processes; provide data entry support to other systems; answer questions regarding TeamPlay; train new uses; ad hoc administrative duties. The individual shall provide expert level software development support for database implementation, database processes and other processes which interact with the LNI projects' databases. The individual shall provide software development to imporve support processes and procedures. Responsibilities include: strategic planning and design integration processes-requires research, evaluation, and recommendations for design, development, performance, and integration. Oracle DBMC software design, development, unit testing, integration testing, and consulting services. Technical consulitng and system design support on sofware and harware platforms; network technologies, protocols, INFOSEC engineering, modeling and design concepts. Requirements analysis, solutions design, and systems integration support during the development and deployment of LNI's profects. Rotating, on-call DBA support. Advanced level knowledge and exeprience with Oracle 10g RDBMS, PL/SQL, application design techniques, application server network technology, Oracle 10g RAC, RMAN, VPD, ASO, Text, Partitioning, and Oracle DBA functions. Microsoft Windows NT client and server OS: UNIX OS and hardware; Oracle database systems; Oracle backup and rcovery via RMAN; excellent communicaton and documentation skills. Intermediate level knowledge and exeprience with Oracle perforamnce and tuning, web server network technology, Web browser interfaces, GUI design technology, Jave, Java Script, and XML. Optional: Basic level knowledge of Agency and JWICS computing environments, Ruby on Rails (RoR) is desired.
