Job Description: Our client is a growing technical services company and requires a competent junior to mid-level C++ Programmer with solid SQL experience for a temp-to-perm position.The ideal work location is in their Hartford, CT office, but other options include Rockville, MD or Plano, TX. Start date likely in the fall (Nov 09 timeframe), but if they find the right person they will bring them on right away. Skills required: 2+ years C++ programming experience. Experience or exposure to Microsoft .NET environment. Strong relational database skills, Oracle, SQL Server or DB2 Duties and responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the person filling the position will be to provide assistance in keeping the companys core web based service offering up to date and bug free. The individual filling the position will also be involved in small short term projects that extend the feature and function set of the company's primary service offering and help simplify the usability of the service offering. The person filling the position may also be asked, on occasion, to provide technical support to select sales opportunities. The required technical support would be related to customizing the existing service offering to better meet a particular prospects unique processing requirements. Besides the above technical skills, strong communication skills will be required. The candidate filling the position may on occasion need to have direct contact with the company's clients. This contact is often done on a proactive basis by the company in order to better service their client base and to strength the service offering.
