Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join a team of Project Managers and Analysts responsible for the analysis, development, delivery and support of enterprise software.
We are specifically seeking candidates with a demonstrated track record of success in application development, integration and management in the Federal government arena. This position will refine/validate business requirements, complete design documents that include data mapping, identification of data relationships, creation and documentation of business rules, test planning and support for both systems integration testing and user acceptance testing, including the creation of use cases (or functional requirements) and test scripts.
Duties and Responsibilities: ·Requirements gathering and management ·Project and technical documentation ·Testing and test plan development ·Quality Assurance ·Ability to translate business requirements into workable technical specifications and solutions. ·Translate Business requests and requirements into mature project specifications and acceptance criteria ·Collaborate with Project Sponsors to ensure project documentation is complete and consistent ·Decompose large work items/stories into smaller independent components ·Act as a liaison between Project Sponsors/Stakeholders and technical Ôteams ·Lead work sessions with technical team members to address questions or issues ·Educate the organization on the various applications that comprise that technical enterprise ·Author high-level technical analysis documentation ·Provide guidance to the organization project methodology and deliverables
Experience & Qualifications: 3+ years experience as a business systems analyst in a technical area Experience gathering business requirements Experience analyzing Business requests or requirements and translating those for technical teams Strong analytical and decomposition skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Experience working in a Scrum or Agile environment Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills Solid judgment with ability to creatively problem solve Demonstrated ability to effectively balance priorities on multiple projects Data mapping and the identification of data relationships Test planning and coordination including the creation of test cases and test scripts
Relevant Skills: Business Analysis Facilities Management Asset Management ERP Business Requirements Gathering Project Documentation including PMP, System Documentation, TestPlans, FRDS, RTMs Data Mapping MS Excel Snag It Writing technical and functional specifications Serving as a liaison between technical and non-technical team members Applying either formal or client specific methodologies such as Rational Unified Process, SDLC,OOAD Coordinate and document project/release level user acceptance testing Prepare and/or present documentation of business/technical presentations. Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project Experience researching client and industry-related business/technical processes and coordinating the implementation of new or revised rules and policies.
Desired Skills: Maximo Business Analyst with testing experience, some Enterprise-level application analysis experience (ERP or Facilities Management or Asset Management Planning software)
