Description:
JOB TITLE: Security Policy Analyst/Lead You will be evaluating and auditing IT systems - working independently on multiple tasks so meeting deadlines and professional demeanor are essential. In addition to your duties as a Security Policy Analyst, you will have some management responsibility for other Security personnel.
DUTIES: - Prepare Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages for a large Federal agency (mainly document creation and review) - Develop Security Policy - Research, organize, analyze, and summarize data using CSAM (Cyber Security Assessment Management) - Assist in the development of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) - Improve accountability for reporting the accurate status of resolved recommendations and other information technology weaknesses - Improve accountability for timely resolution of information security weaknesses. - Assist in the preparation, presentation, delivery, and follow-up of briefings. - Evaluate technical documentation and identify gaps SKILLS\KNOWLEDGE\CERTIFICATIONS: - Expert level Knowledge of Federal, NSA, NIST (NIST SP-800 Series 800-26, 800-18, 800-53, 800-53A, etc…), and DoD (DITSCAP) security policy and guidance, security advisories and latest industry standard security tools and measures - Strong writing and analytical skills - Basic knowledge of security tools and techniques - Excellent interpersonal and communication skill - Self-motivated and independent thinker for solving problem - Flexible, energetic and co-operative - Able to interact effectively with more experienced technical staff and management - Able to interact with senior Government officials. - Basic knowledge of security tools and techniques - Security certifications (CISSP, CAP, SANS, CISA, etc.) are required - Some experience managing others is a plus.
EDUCATION: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or related field. Three years of relevant experience may be substituted for this requirement. - 7+ years as a security analyst This is an excellent, long-term position with lots of potential. It is very important for the security analyst to have strong writing skills and good communication skills. Note - Must be able to obtain a minimum of Public Trust (SF-85P) security clearance.
