Standard Job DescriptionÔ Administers property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy or government regulations. Maintains property accountability records and determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment. Contacts potential users and negotiates transfers. Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies. Provides guidance on company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability. Prepares periodic and special purpose reports relative to such matters as taxes, rentals and leasing, insurance, facility usage, etc.Ô
Specific Job DescriptionÔ Successful candidate will manage and administer ITIL v3 framework-based assets (both hardware and software licenses)for the NRC Program. Key responsibilities will include asset inventory, coordination and briefing NRC customers, updating records, coordination with program Change / Configuration Manager and Security Manager. Recent experience in a federal or DoD enterprise IT infrastructure asset management role is an absolute must. Additionally, candidate must have demonstrated strong capabilities to provide outstanding customer communications and service in a fast-paced and demanding federal customer IT enterprise environment.Position also requires experience with and knowledge of ITIL v3 framework asseet management processes. Job will be located in the DC metro area, in Montgomery County, Maryland. Agency supported has a nationwide operation including over 5500 users running MS Office 2007 on Windows 2003 Active Directory (with Novell NOS being migrated out). Candidate must be clearable to work at NRC (Public Trust) and must have excellent communications and customer skills
Ô Typical MinimumsÔ Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of professional experience; or 13 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
Ô Required skillsÔ Must be a US CitizenITIL Foundation CertificationHigh level IT certifications (e.g.MCSE Windows 2003;CISSP; CNP/CCIE; etc.)At least 3 years experience as an asset manager / property administrator for a large federal or DoD enterprise IT infrastructure support contract Excellent customer-facing communications skills
Ô Desired skillsÔ Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar 4 year degree. At least 7 years experience in large federal IT infrastructure support program / contract environment with at least 4 of those years as a team or technical lead.Experience using Numara Footprints ITSM / CMDB.Experience using WiseTrack asset tracking software.ITIL v3 Foundation certification.Excellent work ethic and communications skills Self starter, confident communicator including during presentations before executive customer and audiences of peers.NRC Customer experience.
