Standard Job DescriptionÔ Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Prepares reports of change effect on overall product. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.Ô

Specific Job DescriptionÔ Successful candidate will lead and manage all configuration and change actions associated with a major federal agency's information technology program, using ITIL framework change and configuration management processes. The job will be located in the DC metro area, most likely in Montgomery County, Maryland. The agency supported has a nationwide operation including over 5500 users. The position will be expected to implement all ITIL change and configuration management processes beginning immediately after contract award, using Information Technology Service Management tools including CM, asset management and software license management databases.

Typical MinimumsÔ Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

Required skillsÔ Must be a US CitizenStrong multi taskerDegree in business, math, science or engineering from an accredited collegeAt least 5 years experience as Configuration / Change manager for a federal or DoD IT support contractITIL v3 Foundation certification

Desired skillsÔ Computer Science or Computer Engineering 4 year degree. At least 7 years experience in configuration / change management.Excellent work ethic, leadership, and management skills. Self starter, team player, confident communicator before executive customer and audiences of peersITIL Intermediate CertificationNRC Csutomer experience


This is a key position in a IT support proposal.
