Description:
Standard Job DescriptionÔ Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Prepares reports of change effect on overall product. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.
Specific Job DescriptionÔ Successful candidate will perform as the program's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) administrator. He or she will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of all program configuration items (CIs), under the supervision and guidance of the program's Change Manager. This will include acting as the program's CM Librarian. The program's configuration and change management processes will be transformed to comply with the ITIL process framework, therefore the position requires experience and knowledge of ITIL-compliant change and configuration management processes.
Typical MinimumsÔ Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Ô Required skillsÔ Degree in business, math, science or engineering from an accredited college. At least 4 years experience as configuration or change analyst for a federal or DoD IT support contract. Able to obtain federal agency security clearance.
Ô Desired skillsÔ Experienced supporting Numara FootPrints CMDB. Computer Science or Computer Engineering 4 year degree. At least 6 years experience in configuration / change management. ITIL v3 Foundation certification. Excellent work ethic, leadership and management skills. Self starter, team player, confident communicator before customers and audiences of peers.
