Job Description: Standard Job DescriptionÔ Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.ÔSpecific Job DescriptionÔ This position will provide overall technical expertise and project / innovation management support of non-technical and technical groups across the ITISS program; all in accordance to NRC federal standards and ITIL frameworkFocus on technical and business innovations, modernizations, and upgrades documented or to be documented in the Technology Roadmap.Main responsibility for the Technology Roadmap and all subsequent actions, decisions, industry/solutions recommendations, reporting, among other related tasks. Will be the direct technical interface with the various LM COEs, other NRC programs, and the ITISS Joint technology Innovation Group. Will ensure Coordination with corporate and customer executives to develop Technology Roadmaps to improve program performanceDevelops technical solutions and leverages LM innovations to support SLAs and contract requirementsBuilds strategic partnerships with industry partners and various stakeholders for project executionsDevelops corporate strategies and measures to achieve organizational missions and objectivesForms multi-functional project teams: vendors, suppliers, engineering, finance, subcontractors and operations/maintenance for project implementationsWill have experience working with the many functional organizations and support groups that will be required to complete the specific scope tasksWill support development and delivery of all applicable contract documents, LM internal program documents, reports, customized processes/procedures, mitigate/investigate issues, and other tasks/activities required to support successful execution of all identified requirements and responsibilities across all functional and program areasWill ensure responsible and support all other performance standards, deliverables, and Service Level Agreements are continuously met in entiretyWill communicate and work directly/indirectly with the customer and with all ITISS Program functional areas and other service providers Typical MinimumsÔ Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience; or 18 years with a related Masters, or 15 years with a related PhD degree. Viewed as the most senior authority in discipline. Ô Required skillsÔ Must be a US CitizenStrong multi-taskerExpertise in designing heter/homo solutions containing Data Center, LAN/WAN, Security, Storage, telecoms, Internet and Mainframe elements. Operating systems and network protocolsStrong knowledge in Managed Services Integrated architectural solutions, business process improvement and strategy developmentITIL Foundation certifiedAbove average use knowledge of the Microsoft Tool suiteLeadership experience managing or leading various projects and interfacing with the many functional support and customer organizationsHas technical experience in the design, implementation and support of large scale network infrastructure, NOC and data center with over 10,000+ users environmentPerformed project management on Network Improvement Initiatives to improve 24x7 infrastructure O&MImplementation of ITIL processes and achieved ISO certifications Desired skillsÔ Strategic leadership excellenceResearch & Development experienceITIL Intermediate certifiedPreferred PMP certifiedPreferred Security certificationPreferred Microsoft and Cisco certificationsPreferred Advanced Degrees in Engineering and Business ManagementNRC customer experience This is a key position in a IT support proposal.
