Standard Job DescriptionÔ Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.Ô

Specific Job DescriptionÔ Program management role, requiring extensive experience in software engineering. Position will be responsible for the implementation and rollout of the Secure LAN and Electronic Safe (SLES) records and document management solution to NRC Headquarters and regional usersCandidate must demonstrate ability to present coherent briefings to very knowledgeable senior Government customers at the GM 15 and above level. May require up to 20% travel.

Typical MinimumsÔ ÔAppropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.Ô

Required skillsÔ ÔCandidate must meet all requirements to obtain the requisite security clearance for this position. ITIL Foundation Certification. At least 5 years experience managing system enhancement / new system deployments / releases for federal or DoD IT infrastructure support contractStrong communication skills, both verbal and written. At least 2 years managing tasks involving EMC Documenting. At least 7 years experience providing IT Support to federal agencies with increasing responsibilities.

Desired skillsÔ Computer Science or Computer Engineering 4 year degree. At least 7 years experience in large federal IT infrastructure support programs / contracts. Excellent work ethic, leadership, and management skills. Self starter, team player, confident communicator before executive customer and audiences of peers. ITIL Intermediate Certification. NRC Customer experience.


This is a key position in a IT support proposal.
