Job Description: Security/Network Engineer PositionLocation: Alexandria, VA Arena Technical, LLC salaried position on site with our client. General Experience Needed: ·ÔMinimum 8-10 Years of General Network and Security Engineering experience. ·ÔExperience Evaluating, Designing, and Implementing Network, Firewall and Enterprise Security Technologies. ·ÔExperience documenting Firewall and Enterprise Security requirements, high level architectures, detailed designs, and operational support plans (has drafted System Development Lifecycle (SDL) Documents). ·ÔExperience providing Tier3 Security/Network Engineering support to Government Agencies Network/Security Operations Centers. ·ÔExperience conducting tests and evaluations of network and security products. ·ÔExperience configuring, maintaining, testing, and installing patches and code upgrades for security vulnerabilities in firewall and enterprise security vendor software. ·ÔExperience configuring, maintaining, testing, and installing patches and code upgrades for network infrastructure devices. (Routers, Switches, Load-balancers). ·ÔExperience performing network traffic analysis using NetFlow tools. ·ÔExperience responding to US-CERT notifications and supporting Government Agency Computer Incident Response Teams providing incident response team support and incident documentation as needed.. ·ÔAbility to write and document weekly activities and provide monthly status report input. ·ÔWillingness to support Network Maintenance activities after hours. (Occasional night and weekend support is required.) Specific Technical Skills Listed in Order of Importance: ·ÔTechnical understanding of Application Delivery products (Load-Balancer, SSL Acceleration) products administration such as F5 Big-IP and Citrix Products. ·ÔTechnical understanding of Netscreen Firewalls (NS5400, ISG2000, SSG520, etc.) ScreenOS 6.0 and newer and managing Juniper devices with Netscreen Security Manager (NSM). ·ÔTechnical understanding of Netflow Analysis tools. ·ÔTechnical understanding of Cisco, Juniper, and Nortel switches and routers administration. ·ÔTechnical understanding of “Next Generation” Application layer firewalls. ·ÔTechnical understanding of Juniper Intrusion Detection Prevention (IDP) appliances. ·ÔTechnical understanding of Enterprise Web Proxy-Cache devices, Content filters and Web AV appliances to Include Bluecoat, IronPort and Websense) ·ÔTechnical understanding of Enterprise Logging solutions and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) Systems to include Q1 Radar. ·ÔVender certifications in any or all of these product areas are desired.
