The successful candidate will work closely with the Vice President of Application Architecture addressing very specific development milestones agreed to by senior management. We are looking for a significant contributor, who understands and can add value to our core technology, as well as undertake a leadership role in driving the technology forward, leading to an equity holding in the company. Job Description The software engineer is responsible for enhancing our core technology, including: adding new features, improving performance, addressing bugs and issues as directed by the Operations and Model development supervisors. The engineer is responsible for understanding and working in the core engine including the DLLs and basic services (C++ code). Responsibilities 1. Contribute to and drive the design, implementation and testing of our technology. 2. Take a leadership role in the development of our technology, driving the core functionality towards increasing efficiency and functionality. 3. Ability to communicate concepts effectively to a team focused on business solutions Education: Bachelors Degree in a technical field Minimum Qualifications: -ÔBS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent -ÔFluent in C++, the C++ STL and Templates -ÔKnowledge of .NET,COM,and ATL required -ÔKnowledge of Oracle with PL\SQL desirable -ÔFamiliarity with source code revision control practices,(VSS) -ÔWorks well independently, staying focused and organizing tasks -ÔYears Experience: 8-10+ years development experience About Our Client The client provides outsourced payroll/HR, tax and other back-office services to corporations, associations and government agencies of all sizes.
