Job Description: Our client is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Washington DC with a large government agency. The client requires a combination of network security skills and Linux, so this is a little more complicated mix of skills. Here is a prioritization of their needs:1. Redhat Linux and opensource email systems skills required. Skilled with IND DNS. 2. Install, configure and administer intrusion prevention systems (IPS) and intrusion detection systems (IDS). 3. Install, configure and manage firewall proxy and packet filtering systems 4. Knowledge and skills for DNS SEC implementation. In addition to these key skills, the ideal candidate will have experience with the follow: A. Install, integrate and manage anti-spam filters, outbound and inbound TCP/IP packet inspection systems B. HTTP and HTTPS proxy/caching C. TCP/IP packet capture systems D. Log aggregation and correlation E. Analysis and incident response F. Network Admission Control (NAC) G. Active Directory H. Information Security and trends I. Provide management with correlation analysis of logs produced by the various network security and network filtering system logs. J. Install, configure and administer DNSSEC secure domain naming system. K. Provide immediate response to network security alerts from the CIRT or network monitoring systems.
