Job Description: Job Title: Diagram Support/Visual CommunicationsLocation: Quantico, VA Clearance Required: Secret Clearance Job Description: The Diagram Support Specialist will develop an array of diagrams and visual communications for clients as well as for internal project teams. This position reports to the Communications Manager and works closely with the other members of the Communications team, the Training team, and the Knowledge Management team.This individual will be part of a project team responsible for implementing of an IT-related organizational change initiative for a military client. The Diagram Support Specialist will be responsible for translating broad concepts and high-level sketches into well-thought out, complete Visio process diagrams for client deliverables. He/she will also be responsible for creating visual content that informs and engages a variety of client stakeholders while supporting multiple media channels. Such channels may include but are not limited to fact sheets, newsletters, briefing materials, talking points, and web postings. Experience Requirements: The candidate must be able to translate business and information technology concepts into clear visual communications. He/she must display the aptitude to cheerfully discover and develop the best design solution possible within the business, technology, and time constraints. A thorough understanding of typography, layout, color, and imagery is required.The candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Visio and expert experience with a design and/or layout application such as Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, or Publisher. Strong skills in Microsoft Office are required, particularly with Word and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Snagit and HTML is preferred but not required. 8-10 years of related experience preparing business and technical visual communications. ITIL V3 Foundations certification preferred. Candidates must be prepared to provide samples to be considered for this position. Must have a DoD Secret Clearance or be able to obtain one. Military or DoD experience preferred. Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Computer Art/Design, Digital/Media Arts, or a related discipline required.
