Security Administrator
U.S. Citizen-required

Specific Description:

Under broad direction, you will lead and coordinate the operational data security support duties and activities. Responsible for ensuring the protection of System data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, or unauthorized modification. Assist leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the operations team as it relates to emerging data security system support technologies. Researche, analyze, and recommend new data security operational support technologies, tools, and techniques. Coach others on the application of new operational data security support technologies. Review distributed computing and network designs to select and recommend appropriate data security support strategies and ensure efficient use of resources. Conduct data security system support design and performance evaluation reviews. Identify, develop, and update data security support standards and procedures. Keep abreast of emerging data security support technologies and industry trends.
·ÔProvides day to day Security Administrator data security support of the System.
·ÔManages system security devices such as firewall, IDS, VPN, etc.
·ÔEnsure compliance with client IT security policies.
·ÔResponsible for system security planning, developing, and implementing security on multiple platforms.
·ÔMaintain security documentation.
·ÔDefine processes and procedures to manage the network security.
·ÔProvide fault resolution and escalation.
·ÔManage and support networking and security devices in the LAN/WAN infrastructure.
·ÔStudies the proliferation of viruses and prevents hacker intrusions.
·ÔConducts active penetration tests and isolates and resolves vulnerabilities in the System infrastructure including LAN/WAN.
·ÔAssist the System Administrator in isolating and resolving system performance problems and helps with disaster recovery (backup and restore) functions.
·ÔAssist the Network Administrator in isolating and resolving LAN and WAN performance and capacity problems.
·ÔAssist with backup and restore functions.

Required Skills:
·ÔAAbility to work flexible hours.
·ÔFiFive (5) years in IT as a Security Administrator with three (3) years as a System Aadministrator in a Windows, Linux and/or UNIX operating environments.
·ÔInIntrusion Detection System (IDS) deployment, support and signature mmaintenance. Firewall Log analysis and IDS analysis.
·ÔSStrong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols.
·ÔVVulnerability and Penetration testing.
·
ÔDDeveloping custom IDS signatures and rule sets.
·ÔEExperience and knowledge with the following COTS products:
§ÔMicromuse NetCool
§ÔSun, Linux and Windows Environments
§ÔRemedy ARS
§ÔIDS & Firewall software
§ÔTripwire Security software
§ÔLoglogic software
§ÔIntellitactics software
·Ô Technical experience and knowledge with the following hardware:
§ÔCisco Routers and Switches
§ÔIDS and Firewall devices
§ÔSUN Servers
§ÔDell Servers
§ÔCAT 6 & Fiber cabling

Desired Skills:
·ÔIT Security-related certification
·
orenForensic data analysis and correlation.
·ÔAAbility to develop and document step by step technical standard operating pProcedures (SOPs) to be used in the development of portions of a System AAdministrator’s Guide.
·ÔEExperience and knowledge with the following COTS products:
§ÔBEA Weblogic
§ÔOpsWare

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with five years of relevant experience OR Associate’s Degree in a related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
