Job Description: Powerbuilder Application ProgrammerU.S. Citizen required 6-7 month with possible annual extension Location: Washington, D.C. Seeking a mid level experienced PowerBuilder version 9 or later programmer that has converted PowerBuilder application using Sybase migration tools to .NET web based application. This position responsibilities includes producing technical documentation supporting the SDLC, programming in PowerBuilder version 9 and/or version 12, application testing, troubleshooting application backend problems for Oracle 10g or higher, and adhering strictly to configuration management policies. Daily duties would include status reporting in meetings and weekly reports, programming in PowerBuilder version 9 and /or version 12, programming in .NET, running Sybase conversion tools for code migration to .NET, configuration management practices, and testing daily functionality of code. Follow the lead development architect directions on tasks and prioritizing of development tasks. Required Skills: B.A. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information System Management or IT related degree. 5-7 years of developing in PowerBuilder front-end with Oracle backend. 1-2 years of developing in PowerBuilder 9 or higher with Oracle 10g backend. Experience in producing technical documentation for SDLC. Desired Skills: Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) CERTIFIED SYBASE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM (CSP) Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Oracle 10g
