Job Title: Information Security Principal Analyst

Clearance Required: Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

Job Description:

Responsible for providing vulnerability/risk assessment, Information Assurance configuration management, and associated remediation.
Identify latest threats/viruses/malware, and evaluate the security posture of all customer assets. Conduct vulnerability scans of systems.
Manage Anti-Virus, vulnerability scanning, patch remediation, and event log consolidation services using customer supplied applications.
As required, liason with network operations security staff, military investigative service, and outside vendors regarding customer IA issues.
Report customer compliance with FISMA, DoD, and customer IA standards, close coordination with customer program offices concerning FISMA and customer IA issues, including completion and response to IA tasking from senior government department.
Create, update, and maintain appropriate DIACAP documentation required for accreditation of customer IT systems, maintaining copies of all customer DIACAP documentation, to include IATO, IATC, ATO, and ATC documents. Coordinate customer training with Physical Security Officer and conduct annual IA training briefs for senior customer staff, along with coordination with training personnel for alternative training methods for user community for annual IA training.
Provides IA support IAW DoDD 8500.1 and DoDI8500.2, ensuring IAVM dissemination, IAVA compliance, reporting, and mitigation plans. Strong knowledge of DIACAP process and documentation required.
Retina expertise to identify network vulnerabilities with risk assessment methodolgies required.
Respond to intrusion incidents with as Subject Matter Expert (SME) Monitors, evaluates, and maintains all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction; ensures that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security; identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations, determines causes of security violations and recommends corrective actions to ensure data security; weighs business needs against security concerns and articulates issues to management and/or customers; provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced technical staff members, may have supervisory responsibilities; may serve as a technical team or task leader; participates in special projects as required.

Experience Requirements:

Personnel assigned to this position will demonstrate the ability to successfully apply common certification and accreditation principles in a variety of circumstances and environments. This position requires an excellent command of the English language including grammar, spelling, and usage. Safeguards the network against unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Researches, evaluates, designs, tests, recommends, communicates, and implements new security software or devices. Implements, enforces, communicates, and may develop network security policies or security plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and computer installations

Requires 8-10 years experience.

Education Requirements:

Requires BS/BA degree and CISSP.
