Job Title:  Enterprise Architect Modeller

Position requires a 4 day work week (Monday through Thursday) with 10 hour work days.

Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs expert analysis, design, development, and implementation of highly complex operating systems and application programs; serves as a technical team or task leader; performs additional duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Advise the program on best approaches to achieving optimal program documentation traceability by way of the existing program tools
• Educate system integrators, government, and support personnel on program approach to enterprise architecture design, development and maintenance
• Leads development of new EA products on the leading edge of established knowledge and standards.
• Conceives, designs, prototypes, and tests new methods and models.
Defines architecture requirements and performance standards to meet or exceed management and customer specifications.
• Leads research and development of prospective enterprise architecture products that add sustained value to the program.
• Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress (status reports), and presents results to management and/or customer personnel.
• Serves as the primary customer interface to resolve problems and ensure enterprise architecture product requirements are met on a timely basis.
• Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced enterprise architects, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
• Serves as an enterprise architecture team or task leader.
• May provide expertise to multiple project functional areas and tasks.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Participates in special program project teams/ task forces as required.
• Review and adjust existing enterprise architecture standards to incorporate new requirements for architecture maintenance and future releases (e.g. definition of web services, SAP BI modeling, SAP Portal, etc);
• Documents and leverages lessons learned from previous Navy ERP Releases to further enhance the enterprise architecture value position for the program
• Provide guidance to Navy ERP team on newly developed enterprise architecture standards/approaches to meet new or revised project requirements (e.g. acquisition requirements, DoDAF requirements, PMO requirements, etc.)
Masters Degree in Computer Science/ Business Administration or a related technical/business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.


Requires 10 or more years of related experience in software development.

• Demonstrates knowledge of and experience with IBM Rational System Architect Enterprise Architecture development environment

• Demonstrates expertise in the area of key Enterprise Architecture methodology and frameworks:
1. DoDAF 2.0
2. FEA
3. BPMN/BPEL Modeling

• Consults government on DoDAF view requirements and best practices.

• Conducts research, manages workshop, and/or 1on1 sessions in the design and development of Navy ERP business processes and DoDAF views in general.

• Knowledge of EA governance/auditing and compliance requirements and processes associated with the following agencies/organizations:
1. BTA - BEA
2. DON-CIO
3. ASN RD&A CHSENG
4. JITC
5. JCPAT
