Job Description: Oracle Report Writer***Must be US Citizen*** Obtain a position of Public Trust Currently team is in a contract extension, position likely to be extended thru September 2011. Location: Fairfax, VA 22033 This position will provide support to the Operations and Sustainment Teams. The position will take direction from, and report to, the Database Team Lead and the Sustainment Manager. In turn, the Database Team Lead takes direction from and reports to the Operations Manager. The Report Writer is expected to have the basic technical qualifications necessary to fill this position. The person in this position will work with both internal and external users to understand their requirements and translate them into Reports using a combination of SQL, PL/SQL.. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with little supervision are required. The position requires that they be responsible for analyzing and decomposing user requirements and developing them into reports with minimal defects. The applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to gain access to sensitive information. *# of Years Experience: * Minimum 2 years Experience with the following tool sets: Oracle Report Writer, SQL, PL/SQL. * Minimum of 1 year of MS Office, MS Access, and MS Project experience * Minimum of 1 year working on a Unix operating environment. *Educational Requirements: The candidate must meet the following education and/or related experience requirements: * Bachelors degree and 2 years hands-on report writing/business intelligence (additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree) Assets: * Capable of getting DoD Common Access Card (CAC) * Ability to analyze data * Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently, handle stressful situations, prioritize workloads and schedules, and solve problems. * UNIX experience * Travel System experience
