Job Description: Business Project Leader - PM Support6 month contract Washington, D.C. Candidate will need to obtain Sensitive clearance. The Customer Relations Business System Portfolio has identified a requirement for technical Business Project Lead project management support. Will review and monitor programs and projects with the Customer Relations Business System Portfolio to ensure the TLSC processes are being followed. Follow Program Management Process Guidelines to bring a focused discipline to the management of programs, activities and projects. In addition, handle a variety of unique tasks as may be assigned by the CustomerRelations Portfolio or Program Manager. Requirements of position: * Provide project support and guidance on business information systems development and/or information technology related projects. * Expert understanding of the requirements and system design phases of systems development. * Communicate technical information to other stakeholders and express facts or ideas clearly, orally and in writing, when answering questions and providing information. Present orally and in writing to technical, non-technical, and senior management audiences. * Maintain electronic project schedules to track and monitor key activities. * Create and provide quality assurance review on all documents necessary to satisfy the TSLC Methodology. * Provide backup support to unit members as identified by the Program Manager. Desired Requirements: Advanced degree or advanced studies in Project Management PMP Certification Strong "can-do" attitude, willing to do whatever it takes to successfully manage projects Demonstrated expertise in MS Project Prior experience contracting with a government agency. Experience with SharePoint or other collaboration tools Excellent Time Management skills Proven ability to recap and document sessions within a day of occurrence. Experience leading Business Process and Business Reengineering sessions Section III: Experience Candidate will possess at least 5 to 7 years of specialized experience conducting project management support for major IT system development projects. Candidate will possess at least 2 to 4 years experience serving in the role of consultant to customers in the defining of requirements and the implementation of large-scale systems. PMP
