Job Description: Job Title: Systems Analyst - Desktop Engineeringﾔ U.S. CITIZENSHIP required, Background Check and Drug Screening required Period of Performance: Starting in September and is a longterm position (temp-to-hire). Performance Location(s): Herndon, VA Experienced IT professional with the ability to rapidly assimilate into a highly dynamic fluid and fast-paced organization and immediately contribute to the overall success of the organization. This position is with the End User Computing team, which develops and provides desktop management services throughout the enterprise, from standard definition and configuration builds to software evaluation, electronic distribution and patch management, policy design and enforcement, and desktop virtualization. REQUIREMENTS Education: 返8+ Years with HS or 5+ Years with AA or 2+ Years with BS Required Skills: 返Understanding of Microsoft or competitor Application Virtualization solution and architecture. 返Strong understanding of Intel-based 1+ years experience with the configuration, deployment, support of Windows Software, Windows Server and OS in large corporate environment. 返Sysems administration . Solid understanding and troubleshooting experience with the Windows XP/Windows 7/Server operating systems and their components including the registry. Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies technologies.返Experience with software deployment processes and client desktop management tools in general. 返Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. 返Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills demonstrated. 返Proven ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed and diverse team environment 返Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, performing under stressful conditions such as directional changes, tight deadlines, limited resources, etc. 返2+ years experience providing end-user support with Intel-based desktop technologies in large corporations. 返Proven ability to independently develop conventional and innovative but practical solutions to existing and anticipated challenges. .Experience required with applications packaging and client side patch deployments. Preferred Skills: 返Broad experience across multiple IT areas: Including at least 3 years of following: ServiceDesk, desk-side support, technical writing, server administration, network administration, database administration and desktop engineering. 返Proven experience in production and deployment of application installation packages in a large, centrally managed environment Pluses 返Proven experience in developing and delivering IT training a plus. 返Specific tool background in AppV, ThinApp (Thinstall), Citrix Application Virtualization, Flexera AdminStudio, HP OpenView Configuration Management (Radia and/or Novadigm), Microsoft System Center (SMS), etc. is highly desired. 返ITIL Foundations Certification. 返Proven experience in the development and documentation of processes and procedures is highly desired. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/PROJECT TASKS 返Perform technical evaluations, configuration and integration design, verification and validation, and implementation of client computing software, hardware, and management solutions. 返Serve as a technical subject matter expert on AppV (Microsoft Application Virtualization) and contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide services and processes leveraging this technology to enhance desktop management offerings alignment with current and future customer needs. 返Develop automated software deployment packages and perform quality assurance testing of existing and new packages. 返Develop, deploy and remediate system and software security patches via a centralized deployment mechanism 返Document the group's configuration parameters, operational procedures, and best practices. Generate ad-hoc and monthly reports and metrics. 返Interface with operational, engineering, and internal customer management staff on a routine basis. 返Determine technical requirements and solutions and make independent recommendations ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The following are the additional background checks and employment eligibility requirements that must be completed by the supplier.
