Job Description: Job Title: Data Center LeadLocation: Kansas City, MO Clearance Required: Secret Clearance Job Description: The IT Management & Operations Test Lead will join the MCEITS team and be responsible for bringing existing software applications into a Data Center staging area environment to complete comprehensive testing and analysis, prior to the application being approved for transition and release into the Production Datacenter hosting environment, in support of the US Marine Corps Datacenter in Kansas City, MO. The Test Management and Operations Group is led by the Test Lead Manager, a government civilian, with the support of a Test Lead. It is composed of 4 small test teams who report to the Test Lead Manager. Each test team will be responsible for all facets of the test process for a given application. The number of test teams working under this group will be driven by overall MCEITS Application Migration schedule, so that enough test personnel are assigned to meet the migration goals and objectives. The detailed test schedule for each application will be maintained by the Test Management and Operations lead.The Lead Test Technician will script using HP Quick Test Pro and utilize Load Runner and HP Performance Center. Knowledge and experience in load and performance testing as well as scripting is required for this position. Hands-on experience with analyzing the results of load and performance testing with system administrators and monitoring tools a plus for this position.Responsibilities include:• Assist with defining the test strategy• Help design and plan testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control• Make recommendations on allocation of test resources, ensuring test policies are adhered to• Provide input on management reporting on test progress, test outcomes, success rates, issues and risks• Conduct tests as defined in the test plans and design• Record, analyze, diagnose, report and manage test events, incidents, problems and retest dependent on agreed criteria• Assist in operating test environment based on requirements• Verify tests conducted by release and deployment teams• Administer test assets and componentsThis is a technical position. Some management skills are required. Experience Requirements: Requires 8-10 years experience, including related systems engineering experience.
