Job Description: Job Title: Principal Technical EditorLocation: Stafford, VA Clearance Required: DoD Secret Clearance Job Description: The Technical Writer will work across multiple project domains and ensures documentation standards are adhered to through a structured Quality Assurance approach. Will support the development of document lifecycle management best practices to support project objectives. Detail oriented person with experience writing detailed procedures, work instructions and technical user manuals. Focus of this candidate will be on the HP OMW, OMi, and NNM technical documentation to include a Technical Data Package describing the customizations made to all tools prior to deployment. Also, the candidate should be familiar with test plans, to include the plan itself along with test scripts.Will write technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. Will organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.Maintain records and files of work and revisions.Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.Confer with customer representatives and/or vendors to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding. Experience Requirements: 8-10 years of related experience preparing and editing technical documentation.Technical HP experience a plus. Writing samples required. ITIL V2 or V3 Foundation certification highly desired. Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in English, Journalism or a related discipline.
