Job Description: VB.Net DeveloperLocation: Rockville, MD We have a long-term opportunity with one of the largest government contractors in the Washington DC area for an ASP.Net Business Application Programmer. The candidate will be providing both maintenance and new development support for this agency. All candidates must be eligible to pass an extensive 6-8 week background investigation, and can not have been out of the US for more than 30 consecutive days at any point during the last seven years. Specific Job Description: Candidate will assist in the planning, analysis, documentation, design and implementation of a major application. Will support the team in analysis, design, development and testing of all required functionality iteratively, while incrementally developing a complete solution. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision, but also within a collaborative team environment. Will perform problem analysis. Effective communications (verbal and written) are required to interface with customers and team members. Candidate should be well versed in current technologies, and be able to provide guidance and recommendations in support of implementing. Required Skills: 8-10 years experience ASP.Net, Visual Basic(VB) or VB.Net, SQL 2005 development, Visual Studio, Web development. Ajax XML JavaScript Familiarity with .NET’s libraries and standards is important, as is communication Must have experience in working in a structured, development environment, using industry standard methodologies like CMMI, RUP, and/or ISO 9000. Candidate must also have strong background in object oriented development. Candidate should be well versed in current technologies, and be able to provide guidance and recommendations in support of implementing web strategies Desired Skills: Crystal Reports
