Job Description: The MCEITS program provides the Marine Corps with a modernized IT-enabled capability for use in enterprise and expeditionary environments. This includes implementation of an IT infrastructure with application, service and data environments. Additionally, MCEITS delivers an IT infrastructure that can quickly, easily and securely adapt to evolving software, hardware, data, services and management requirements while providing an enhanced enterprise visibility that facilitates greater reuse of IT assets.The Senior Systems Administrator reports to the Lead Systems Engineer and operates, configures, and maintains SIE computing hardware, and computer system infrastructure. Supports operating, configuring and maintaining all computing, network, and storage components are available for use by the Test Management and Operations group. The Senior Systems Administrator needs to have experience optimizing systems for various applications such as database and web based implementations. They also should have experience in the build up and maintenance of physical servers, and the use of VMware to build up and maintain virtual servers. Experience using HP Server Automation is preferred. Requires BS/BA degree. Position also requires IAT level II certification (e.g. Security+) in accordance with IAW DODD 8570.1 and DOD 8570.1-M. Prefer MCSE Requires 5-7 years experience. Requires 5-7 years of related systems engineering experience. Prefer DoD experience Data Center hosting background operating in an ITIL framework as follows: • ITIL Processes • Transition Planning • Service Validation & Testing • Release & Deployment Management • Service Asset Configuration Management • Atrium (CMDB) • Asset Management • Change Management • Windows and Unix Systems experience Prefer experience with the following tools/skills used in this position: • Discovery and Dependency Mapping • Operations Orchestration • Server automation
