Job Title: I/O Psychologist
Location: Remote with potential for ad-hoc meetings
Eligibility: US Citizenship required. This position supports a government contract.
Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled I/O Psychologist to join their team and serve as the primary technical expert responsible for the design of assessment strategies and instruments aligned with Executive Order 14170, focusing on reliability, validity, and legal defensibility of skills-based hiring. This role requires rigorous analysis and stakeholder collaboration to produce hiring assessments that will need to be integrated into various Talent Acquisition Systems such as USA Staffing (USA Hire), Monster and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct job analyses to identify critical technical competencies and tasks across job families and occupations.
- Develop and validate technical skills assessments and conduct pilot testing of items in the skill assessments.
- Develop customized technical assessments or adapt existing OTS assessments
- Develop research plans, manage timelines, and produce APA-compliant documentation and summary reports.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders and internal teams through briefings, virtual meetings, and progress updates.
- Support optional tasks such as adaptation of off-the-shelf assessments and development of assessment libraries.
Qualifications / Role Requirements:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (required; no substitutions).
- At least 7+ years of applied experience in assessment development, validation, and job analysis with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in assessment development with federal or public-sector roles.
- Demonstrated expertise with competency modeling, personnel measurement, and statistical validation techniques.
- Familiarity with federal hiring frameworks, including EO 13932 and Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures.
- Ability to prepare APA-style documentation and lead presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Experience with assessment customization and integration into Talent Acquisition Systems (e.g., USAHire, Monster) preferred.
