Compensation: $40-$46/hr pay rate (Compensation commensurate with
experience and certification level)

Job Description:
We are seeking a certified Business Analyst to support a commercial
client’s internal software product utilized across its customer
portfolio. This is a staff augmentation engagement focused exclusively
on business analysis and structured requirements development within a
complex, multi-portal technical environment.
The selected Business Analyst will lead requirements elicitation,
document current and future state workflows, decompose product
functionality into structured artifacts (epics, features, user stories),
and collaborate closely with Product, Technical Support Specialists
(TSS), SMEs, and vendor teams.
This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional
capable of translating business needs into comprehensive,
development-ready documentation. Software testing and quality assurance
activities may be added later as an optional add-on, but this position
focuses solely on requirements and analysis.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Requirements Elicitation & Documentation
- Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders, Product team members,
Technical Support Specialists (TSS), and subject matter experts.
- Document business requirements, functional requirements, user
stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop structured documentation with sufficient granularity to
support technical design, development, and vendor implementation.
- Decompose product ecosystems into epics, features, and story-level
detail.
- Compare and reconcile data and functional needs across multiple
systems and tools.
- Consolidate requirements across internal teams, vendors, and program
stakeholders.
Process Mapping & Analysis
- Map current state workflows across portals, tools, and user roles.
- Design future state processes including:
- Authentication flows
- Integrations
- Role-based access models
- External user access considerations
- Enhancements to existing tools
- Utilize documentation and visualization tools (e.g., Miro or similar
platforms) to create clear process diagrams.
Collaboration & Clarifications
- Facilitate requirements clarification sessions.
- Partner with Product teams to ensure requirements are prioritized,
sequenced, and development-ready.
- Identify and document gaps, dependencies, risks, and assumptions.
Documentation Management
- Maintain centralized, organized requirements repositories.
- Version control and track requirement changes.
- Ensure documentation is clear, traceable, and usable by both
internal and external technical teams.
- Provide weekly or agreed-upon progress updates.
- Track risks, decisions, and dependencies throughout the engagement.
Requirements:
- Active Business Analysis certification (one of the following
required):
- IIBA ECBA
- IIBA CCBA
- IIBA CBAP
- IIBA AAC
- IIBA CBDA
- PMI-PBA
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in software or technology
environments.
- Experience working within complex, multi-portal or multi-system
ecosystems.
- Strong experience writing structured requirements documentation.
- Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrated ability to map current and future state workflows.
- Experience supporting Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucidchart,
or similar.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting SaaS products or enterprise software
platforms.
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
- Familiarity with authentication models, integrations, and role-based
access controls.
- Experience preparing documentation for vendor handoff and downstream
development teams.
- Exposure to UAT planning or test case creation (future phase
support).
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer
Science, or related field preferred.
